| GERARDE DOUCETTE
In the course of his career, Gerarde has worked as an Art Director for a major greeting card company, a Visual Merchandiser and Interior Director throughout the greater Boston area. Ready for a change of life- style along with a love of 19th century architecture, Doucette moved to Charlestown, NH to actively pursue his painting career along with the restoration of a wonderful 1825 house. Gerarde has held a membership in the Copley Society and is currently a member of the New England Watercolor Society and the Academic Arts Association. He has held exhibits at the DeCordova Museum and the Worcester Art Museum along with numerous solo gallery exhibitions. He is the recipient of many awards throughout his career. His work is in private and public collections throughout the the world. Doucette is a renowned watercolor teacher and lecturer whose demonstrations are widely attended. A professional musician, he has been playing jazz and blues guitar for 45 years and is a member of the Boston Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
