The Gallery has undergone the first of a number of renovations that we have planned over the next year. Our rear rooms have been remodeled with new wall surfaces and an exciting new color scheme plus new carpeting. It makes for an improvement to a great space and we look forward to your stopping by and seeing the changes.
We have increased our roster of artists with the addition of John C. Reilly. An accomplished artist, Reilly's work exhibits a Dickensian quality, especially his paintings of Grafton and the surrounding Vermont villages. Utilizing a loose style and vibrant colors, he brings to life the rural experience. You can view his work here John C. Reilly
James Urbaska has been busy experimenting with a new group of paintings entitled The Sepia Series. Working with oil on paper and using a limited palette, Urbaska has created a wonderful vision of Vermont in a series of intimate pieces. View them here James Urbaska Sepia
We are also excited about new bodies of work by Elizabeth Allen and Phyllis Chase, both of which will be available by Memorial Day. Plus new paintings by Paul Stone make visiting Gallery North Star a continually changing and diverse experience.
Upcoming Shows
May 24 - June 21: George Wilson (1919- 2007), "An Artist's Life Revisited". A memorial show celebrating the life and work of one of America's most distinguished landscape artists.
July 19 - August 17: Mariella Bisson Solo Exhibition. Featuring the work of the internationally renowned collage artist. Her work reflects a fascination with natural elements with an emphasis on waterfalls.
September 27 - October 31: James Urbaska Solo Exhibition. Perennial Gallery North Star favorite James Urbaska will be exhibiting a new body of work. Known for his tonalist paintings, Urbasaka's work evokes a serene and tranquil quality.
